The 2008 Asian Championship will also be held at the same venue next month on 9^th and 10^th of August, following the WCG Singapore Finals on 7^th and 8^th. This event will feature 140 top players from around the region pitting their skills against each other for US$15,000 worth of prizes. Countries participating are: Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand,
Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, with Japan and Taiwan,
participating for the first time.
